Join us for the opening of our sound sculpture, DRIVE. There are over 1000 squares of painted and torn watercolour paper hanging in columns from the ceiling to the floor of the gallery. This piece consists of eight-channel audio, using transducers driving the squares of paper within the larger sculpture creating 2 simultaneous soundscapes; a creek and the 110 freeway.
At 7:00pm, there will be a 30-minute live performance moving audible “pixels” around the gallery, via small speakers loaded with sounds abstracted from those in the sculpture.
